We are getting ready to recognize and honor our 8th grade students! We know this is not the school year that we had wanted, but we are proud of our students for their resilience during distance learning and their transition into Hybrid learning. Due to COVID-19 protocols and safety measures in place in the building, we are modifying the way we celebrate our 8th graders who are being promoted on to high school. We are planning an in-person school event exclusively with our 8th grade students on their assigned cohort days.
Dates: Monday, June 14th (Wednesday/Friday cohort) and Tuesday, June 15th (Tuesday/Thursday cohort)
Time: 12:30pm-1:45pm (5th period)
For our 8th grade students who attended EDGE this year, please join the celebration on Monday, June 14th (Please arrive by 12:15pm)
This will be an in-person promotion ceremony for our students and because of the protocols in place, guests and visitors are not able to attend. We will be live streaming this event for those who are unable to attend, and we will post the recordings to our school Facebook page, website and Youtube channel. Students will receive printed promotion certificate, class of 2025 lanyard, and more!
We are looking forward to celebrating with our students and give them a send-off to high school as the Titan Class of 2025. As a school and district, our goal is that all students will graduate high school, ready for college or careers. This promotion event is the next step for our 8th graders on their journey to high school and signifies that they are one step closer to that goal.
